Family & Portrait Photographer – Natalia Vaxman
Hi, I’m Natalia Vaxman, the photographer behind Natalia Vaxman Photography, based in Abbotsford, BC. I specialize in family, couples, and portrait photography, creating images that feel natural, relaxed, and true to the people in them.
I was born in Belarus and later lived in Regina, Saskatchewan for almost 14 years, where I raised my three children — two girls and a boy. Becoming a mom at a young age shaped the way I see the world and, eventually, the way I see photography. Long before photography became a business for me, it started as a way to document my own family and the everyday moments I never wanted to forget.
Over the years, I developed a deep love for taking photos. In the beginning, it was purely personal and far from professional, but I was often encouraged by the positive feedback I received. People would comment on my style and how polished and emotional my images felt, even when photography was still just a hobby. In 2020, I decided to take that passion more seriously and began building my photography business.
Photography, for me, is about more than creating beautiful images. It’s about connection, emotion, and capturing moments as they naturally unfold. My style is guided and easygoing, with an emphasis on genuine interactions rather than stiff posing, so you can feel comfortable and truly be yourselves.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with many wonderful couples, families, expecting moms, children, and even pets. Every session is different, and that’s what I love most — getting to know new people and telling their stories through images that feel honest and timeless.
Balancing photography with life as a busy mom and a caring wife isn’t always easy, but it’s something I truly love. No matter how full life gets, I always make room for my passion.
I’m so excited to meet and work with new families and individuals in Abbotsford and throughout BC. If you have any questions or would like to chat about a session, I’d love to hear from you and create something meaningful together.
